Ford's S-Max MPV has been crowned European Car of the Year, by a panel of journalists. Is it a victory for originality, or yet another duff decision from Europe's motoring journalists? The panel of 58 writers selected those eight contenders for the 41 cars eligible for the award.
Will the Violati Ferrari 250 GTO (pictured) break the $60 million barrier? The last Ferrari 250 GTO Series 1 to hit auction rooms in 2012, fetched a remarkable $35 million, and last year another 250 GTO – chassis #5111 – was sold in a private deal thought to be worth $52 million. And now another Series 1 250 GTO is about to hit the sale room.

Victor Muller rolled out his new plans for Spyker ahead of the Geneva Motor Show this year with the arrival of the very convincing Spyker B6 Venator and typically grandiose plans to build and sell so many Spyker would be back on top. But Victor’s plans didn’t stop there, and by April it was clear that Spyker were also planning on building a Venator Spyder too as Victor’s plans to take on the £100k plus sports car market grew. So with plans to make Spyker a force to be reckoned with, Spyker are off to this year’s garden party with cars – Salon Prive – in September with not just the B6 Venator but also the C8 Aileron.
